    • Mark was born February 12, 1956 in Crosby, ND to Orvin and Jeanette (Lundberg) Finnesgard. Growing up he attended school, graduating from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls, MN. He enjoyed being a part of the school’s traveling choir. Mark went on to attend college at Williston State College where he took construction classes. Mark met Brenda Davis and they married in April of 1983. From this union, he proudly became a step-dad to his step-daughter, Christy. Mark and Brenda were blessed with their daughter, Lindsay. Mark was a carpenter for many years. He built a new home on the Finnesgard homestead. One of the last projects he enjoyed completing was finishing his daughter Lindsay’s basement with the help of some of his grandchildren. Mark was known for his infectious laugh and his love for his family. In his free time, he would drive miles to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren. It was an honor to be teased by Mark because that was his special way of showing his love and friendship to those he knew.
He is survived by his parents, Orvin and Jeanette (Lundberg) Finnesgard; daughter, Lindsay (Shane) Teigen of Dickinson, stepdaughter, Christy (Eric) Hoffman of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers, Lincoln (Dana) Finnesgard of Ambrose, Joel (June) Finnesgard of Centerville, SD; sister, Rhoda (Keith) Baade of Valley City; grandchildren, Jordan, Gracey, Jacob, Jackson, Abigial, Kasen, Micah, Benjamin, Austyn, Hope, Riley, Naomi, Shelby, Mariah; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
