    • BOUNTIFUL--Lola Wanda Held, 81, passed away February 22, 1999 after valiantly surviving 11 years of debilitating strokes.
Born September 7, 1917 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Suzannah and August Zitting. Married July 5, 1935 in Yuma, Arizona to George J. Held (deceased), solemnized in the LDS St. George Temple, July 5, 1954. Although she lived in Kaysville, and Salt Lake, most of her life was spent in Los Angeles. After marriage she lived in Brisbane, Ca., Hawaii at the time of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and then back to Ca.; El Toro, El Monte, Glendale and Oceanside, before joining her daughter in Bountiful, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church holding ward and stake positions in Scouting, Young Women, geneology, as Gospel Doctrine teacher, and as a temple worker. She also served in several community organizations, such as the Camp Fire Girls, and Community Chest. She will be remembered for her determination and positive attitude through some trying years of multiple strokes.
Lola is survived by her son, George Held and wife Marja-Liisa (Huntington Beach, CA), and their children, Eric and Mark, as well as her daughter, Anna Manwaring and husband Jay (Bountiful, Ut), and their children: Wendi and Corey Cuvelier (Torrance, CA) and great-grandchildren Cameron and Kyle; Shelly and Derek Martin (Valencia, CA), Shauna and Jim Gamett (Glendale, Ca.), Jamie and Tawny Manwaring.
