Notater - PEDERSEN, HERMAN C. - 92, of Parma, MI went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Countryside Care Center. He was the son of Laurits and Anna Pedersen, born September 6, 1919 in Allegan County, MI. Mr. Pedersen is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Eva (Hoyt) Pedersen; five sons, Larry (Grace), Rod (Susann), Mike (Cindi), Doug and Craig (Jane) Pedersen; ten grandchildren, Raleigh Isaacs Jr., Amy Logan, Michael Pedersen, Julie Cooper, Christian, Daniel, Elizabeth, Jeffery, Karen and Kurt Pedersen; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ester Grigsby; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Herman was preceded in death his parents; two brothers, Nelcy and Carl Pedersen; three sisters, Viola Onken, Della Wightman and Francis Overmyer. Mr. Pedersen attended Michigan State University. He owned and operated the Parma Feed and Grain for 20 years; was the former Mayor of Parma and a member of the Parma Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and wintering in Florida for 20 years. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at J. L. WATSON PARMA CHAPEL Sunday, December 18, at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Melissa Claxton officiating. The family wishes to thank Countryside Care Center and their staff for the wonderful loving care they gave to our dad.
