Douglas Brent Zitting, age 39, was at home and woke up peacefully in heaven on the morning of July 8, 2017. He was born February 25, 1978 in West Valley City, Utah to Brent William Zitting and Colleen Hansen Zitting. He attended West Jordan High School and graduated from Salt Lake Community College with a Nursing Degree, he loved being a nurse. He was very loving, loyal, big hearted, Funny, a joker, and he loved watching and participating in all sports.
He is survived by his parents, Brent and Colleen; siblings, Darrell Zitting (Tracy), Debbie Zitting, DeeAnn Lopez-Jones (Jeff), David Zitting (Angie); nieces and nephews, Daryllin, Ryllee, Alexis, Brittany, Brandon, Christopher (mini me), Kayleen, Joseph, Faith, Titus, Mason, Ciena, and Tadum; and his dogs, Buddy and Dexter. Preceded in death by his grandparents and two aunts.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ridgeland Ward House, 4251 South 4800 West, West Valley City, Utah. Viewings held Friday, July 14, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah and one hour prior to the service at the church.
