5983 Larre (Larry) D. Zitting
1959 ~ 2015
Larre (Larry) D. Zitting, born at Wenatchee, WA to G. Fred and Roberta Nielson Zitting on January 1, 1959, passed away from chronic kidney and heart problems at their home the morning of January 4, 2015. In spite of being born with Williams Syndrome, he graduated from High School with a standing ovation, was a trusted newspaper carrier for over 20 years, held a part time job as janitor for Zitting's Grocery Store and was the glue that held his family of eight siblings together. His 41 nieces and nephews and 28 grand-nieces and nephews were a special joy to him and they all loved their uncle. At age 46 he moved with his parents to Riverton, Utah where he started going to the Special Needs Mutual Scouting Program and he became an Eagle Scout in 2012. All things Native American, he loved. He collected a huge library of books about their culture. He had a keen sense of humor, loved to laugh and loved everyone.
Funeral services will be held at the Field Crescent Ward building, 5246 West Gossamer Way (13700 South) Riverton, UT, on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Prior to the services, there will be a viewing in the Relief Society room between 1:00 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Interment will be at the Wasatch Lawn South Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Riverton, UT. Online condolences may be shared at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
