Marjorie Peach
Funeral services for Marjorie L. Peach, 86, were held Wednesday. Jan. 26, at the First Baptist Church in Faribault, with the Rev. Daniel Mead officiating. Burial was at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.
Marjorie died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005 at the District One Hospital in Faribault.
Arrangements were by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault.
Marjorie Louise Halvorson, the daughter of Nels and Elvera (Lundberg) Halvorson, was born May 4, 1918 in Milaca. She attended Milaca Schools. In 1940, Marjorie moved to Minneapolis where she attended Bible School. Marjorie worked at the Riverside Free Church as a Sunday School Missionary. Margie called and made home visits to recruit children for the Sunday School. On May 22, 1959 she married George Peach at the Riverside Evangelical Free Church in Minneapolis. After their marriage Marjorie joined George at his farm home in rural Medford and lived there until 1987 when they moved to Faribault. Mr. Peach preceded her in death Aug. 30, 1991.
Marjorie was involved in Faribault Christian Women's Club and the First Baptist Church of Faribault. For the past year Marjorie has been living at Keystone Assisted Living in Faribault. She enjoyed visiting with all the residents.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Audrey Tebo of Prior Lake; granddaughter, Jeannie Heskett of Prior Lake; a grandson, Vincent Heinz of Shakopee; brother-in-law, Leonard Uherka of Robbinsdale; nephew, David (Carla) Uherka of Maple Grove; and great-nephews, Dustin and Nathan Uherka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvera and Nels Halvorson; husband George Peach; a step-daughter Virginia Bock; and sister, Eunice Uherka.
