Notater - Augie Edward Stricker, 80, of Fergus Falls died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at Lakeland Hospice House in Fergus Falls. He was born on May 28, 1929, in Chicago, 111., to Marius Christian Stricker and Anna Katrina(Djurbus Stricker.
He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953 with a degree in mechanical engineering.
Augie married Joan (Jody) Petersen on July 12, 1953, in Blair,NE. They moved to Columbus, Ohio where he worked as
a design engineer for North American Aviation. In 1957
they moved to Omaha NE where Augie designed natural gas
pipeline systems for the engineering firm HDR.
In 1966 they moved to Fergus Falls as General Manager, he established Great Plains Natural Gas Company.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, 3 children and 8 grandchildrn; Julie (Chuck) Welle, Caitlyn, Sarah and Evan.
Alan (Denise) Stricker, Cameron and Elliot and Emily (Len) Kretchman, Chloe, Elly and Maggie and his sister, Ellie (Dr. Mike) Bremer.
He was preceded by his parents, Chris and Anna Strickekkr; his sister Esther Stricker; and his brother Roy Stricker.
Service: Grace United Methodist Church, Fergus Falls.
