Notater - Elmo John Carlisle Colorado City, Arizona - Announcing the graduation of a noble father, brother, husband, uncle, and friend, Elmo John Carlisle, who passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005, at his home in Colorado City, Arizona. He was born November 15, 1931, a son of Charles Luther and Margaret Gilmour Burt Carlisle. Elmo is eighth in a family of ten children, being the second born in a set of twins with Ivan James Carlisle. He was married April 19, 1957, to Nancy Lou Warnick. They were sealed for time and all eternity on May 20, 1972. Surviving family include his siblings, Ivan, Lois Carlisle Moore, David Burt Carlisle, Ila Carlisle R. Peterson, Grant Carlisle, Helen Carlisle Black, and Margaret Carlisle Wilson. He is also survived by Nancy, Naomi, and 16 children (3 daughters and 13sons); 43 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Finch; brother, Gerald Leon Carlisle; and two sons, Daniel Shadrach and Brad Newell. "We love you, Father." Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the L.S. Johnson Meetinghouse in Colorado City, AZ. Visitations will be held Wednesday, March 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again Thursday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., prior to services, both at the Meetinghouse. Interment will be at the Isaac Carling Memorial Park in Colorado City, AZ. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, UT, (435) 673-2454.
