On May 19, 2017, our family lost our sweet wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma, Carlene Rae Anderson Hatch. Carlene was born December 6, 1950 to Elmer Eugene and Elinor Lavonne Yates Anderson. She married the love of her life, Donald Hatch on June 3, 1967 in Taylorsville, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple on November 10, 2010. She missed her 50th wedding anniversary by 2 weeks, but had a great 51 years together.
Carlene had a great love for her animals and they loved her. She loved to keep a clean house where dirt was afraid to enter. Her passion for decorating was most at Christmas and Halloween, where she won many awards for her light displays. She loved to collect dolls, which she had a huge collection of. Don/Dad said her collection not only broke his back, but broke his bank account. Carlene loved her rock music and going to concerts whenever she could. One of her favorite accomplishments was being able to work as a safety engineer on the racecar pitcrew.
She is survived by her husband, Don; daughters, Shelly (Lloyd) Arnold, of Fountain Green and Wendy Hatch, of West Valley; siblings, Marcy Kelson, Brett (Gerrill) Anderson, Rennie (Mindy) Anderson and Cory Anderson. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
